The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is pleased to announce a unique virtual conference event to be held on November 13 - 14, 2024. Through a partnership between HHSC, the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC), and the Texas Education Agency (TEA), the Tri-Agency Employment Services Virtual Conference will feature presenters from all three agencies and is targeted towards agency staff seeking to broaden their understanding on the crossover and connection between HHS, TWC, and TEA in the role of employment services for people served. A few of the topics covered will be:
- 1915 (c) / 1115 Waiver Overview
- Employment First Discovery Tool
- HHSC and TWC Coordination for Mutual Customers
- Overview of Vocational Rehabilitation Transition Services
- Transition Planning in the Individualized Education Program (IEP)
- Role of the Admission, Review, and Dismissal Committee (ARD) in Making Connections to Agencies.
